Beck Cultural Exchange Center Eighth of August Jubilee

The Beck Cultural Exchange Center's annual Eighth of August Jubilee, now in its 11th year, will be a celebration at Covenant Health Park on Knoxville Giants Night to remember the Knoxville Giants who played in East Knoxville at Booker T. Washington Park in the Negro Leagues when baseball was segregated. The franchise was one of the founding members of the Negro Southern League and its first champions.
VIP tickets are available HERE for $50 for a meet-and-greet with special guests starting at 4 p.m. on the third level at ORNL Federal Credit Union’s Luxury Level Club, live entertainment, food, free drink ticket, limited parking, a Beck keepsake and access to premier seating.
The gates open for at 5:30 p.m. for the public and non-VIP ticketholders with special rate general admission tickets for $15 available HERE.
The Knoxville Smokies will pay homage to the city's rich baseball history by wearing Knoxville Giants uniforms for Friday's game. Statues throughout the plaza at Covenant Health Park also honor the Knoxville Giants. The Biloxi Shuckers will play as the Biloxi Dodgers of the Gulf Coast Negro League.
Attire: Negro Leagues baseball attire, baseball uniforms or baseball T-shirts. Add HBCU or Greek fraternities or sororities attire if desired.
