2021 East Tennessee Preservation Conference
Knox Heritage and Historic Houses and Museums will host the 2021 East Tennessee Preservation Conference, part of the local celebration of Founder’s Day, the 230th birthday of the founding of the City of Knoxville. Dan Brown, the historic sites program director at the Tennessee Historical Commission, will be the keynote speaker; Rev. Reneé Kesler will discuss the Delaney Museum at Beck project; and Blount Mansion will discuss the recent Craighead-Jackson House restoration. All staff, volunteers and attendees will be required to wear a mask or face covering while attending the conference.
Conference tickets are $55 for Knox Heritage members and/or members of Blount Manson, James White’s Fort, Mabry-Hazen House, Marble Springs and Ramsey House. Tickets are $75 for non-members. The conference will be held at the East Tennessee History Center and will be followed by a 6 p.m. reception at James White’s Fort.
