An Evening at Historic Westwood with Author Chris Edmonds to Benefit Alzheimer’s Tennessee
Alzheimer’s Tennessee will hold an evening filled with art, music and history. Learn about Master Sgt. Roddie Edmonds, the father of East Tennessee author Chris Edmonds, and what the son discovered when he inherited his dad’s diary. The event will be 1940s-themed with a WWll “checkpoint,” period-dressed soldiers, music, beverages and individual charcuterie box, a book signing of Chris Edmonds, “No Surrender,” a 14-minute film, “Following the Footsteps of my Father” and an auction of a original painting by another WWII veteran. At the end of the evening a ceremony to honor WWII veterans will be held on the lawn with an interlude of patriotic music performed by Knoxville Opera’s Creative Director Maestro Brian Salesky.
