Enjoy a historic Friday night pep rally at the East Tennessee History Center with food from Smith’s Endzone BBQ, beer from Schulz Brau Brewing Company, wine and live music. The event also will feature a special appearance by one of UT’s own history makers, Smokey’s Spirit Squad, children’s activities and historic footage of Vols football from black and white to orange and white from TAMIS. The free event will take place on Market Street between Church Street and Clinch Avenue behind the East Tennessee History Center with support from the Downtown Knoxville Alliance, Schulz Brau Brewing and Bacon & Company in partnership with McClung Historical Collection and Tennessee Archives of Moving Image and Sound.
