Historic Homes of Knoxville Founders Day
The Historic House Museums of Knoxville (HHMK) and the East Tennessee Historical Society (ETHS) will host Founder’s Day: A Celebration of 231 Years of Knoxville with special guest and former Knoxville Mayor Randy Tyree. During the celebration, visitors are invited to sign a birthday card for Knoxville, as well as enjoy birthday cake, a special presentation with former Tyree at 12 p.m., the unveiling of the new HHMK PastPort and free admission to the Museum of East Tennessee History. Petro’s will be available on a first-come, first-served basis with a suggested donation of $10 for lunch.
Historic Homes of Knoxville Founders Day celebrates the City of Knoxville and its historic properties, including Blount Mansion, Crescent Bend House & Gardens, Historic Ramsey House, James White’s Fort, Mabry-Hazen House, Marble Springs State Historic Site and Historic Westwood.
