The Knoxville Museum of Art will host a private preview reception for “Beauford Delaney & James Baldwin: Through the Unusual Door,” which features more than 50 paintings, works on paper, and unpublished archival materials that examine the relationship between painter Beauford Delaney and writer James Baldwin. The event is by invitation only for exhibition sponsors and lenders, collectors and scholars, high-level museum donors and community leaders. The exhibition opens to the public Friday, Feb. 7.
