The Knoxville Museum of Art will hold a Virtual Cocktails & Conversation via a live Zoom discussion with artists Katie MacDonald and Kyle Schumann from After Architecture, creators of the outdoor installation, “Homegrown,” in the KMA’s South Garden, which is on display through Nov. 29. MacDonald and Schumann are artists and designers whose work critiques conventional building practices, which face new lifecycle questions and overextended supply chains amid the current environmental crisis. Their installation is the culmination of the Tennessee Architecture Fellowship at the University of Tennessee Knoxville’s College of Architecture + Design, which they jointly held from 2019-2020.
