Knoxville Area Urban League Young Professionals: Virtual Scholarship Fundraising Brunch
Knoxville Area Urban League Young Professionals (KAULYP) is revamping its chapter and, under the leadership of newly appointed President Kiame Biandudi, will host the Dr. Walter S. E. Hardy Scholarship Fundraising Brunch – named for one of Knoxville’s first African American physicians – via Zoom. The event will feature Dr. David Foster III of Naples, Florida, and keynote speaker Dr. Keith Gray, the first African American chief medical officer for the University of Tennessee Medical Center.
The $1,500 Dr. Walter S. E. Hardy Scholarship is given to a graduating high school senior who is continuing studies to work in the health profession. The scholarship fundraising brunch also will include entertainment by DJ RealDeal of Knoxville and a raffle drawing ($10 per ticket) for the chance to win one of four prizes valued at over $100.
