The Knoxville Symphony Orchestra will perform a free, family-friendly concert on Market Square for the first time since 2019. Patrons are encouraged to arrive early and bring blankets and lawn chairs. Convenient parking is free for those arriving after 6 p.m. in the city-owned Market Square, Walnut Street, Locust Street and State Street garages. In the case of light rain, this concert will take place as scheduled. In the case of inclement weather, the concert will be rescheduled to the following day, Friday, Sept. 10, at 7:30 p.m.
