The Seeds of Imagination: A Legacy of Readers benefits Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library of Knox County and honor individuals and organizations that have made an impact on early literacy in East Tennessee. The luncheon incudes a silent auction, entertainment and awards ceremony. The honoree in 2023 is Ellie Kittrell, director of Early Care and Education Systems at the United Way of Greater Knoxville for her impact on young lives in Knox County. Past honorees include Dr. Jinx Watson (2019), Dr. Nick Geidner (2020), labor and delivery nurses of Parkwest Medical Center (2021) and Pastor John Unthank (2022).
