Mardi Growl
Young-Williams Animal Center will hold the 18th Annual Mardi Growl, a Pet Parade & Festival and everyone’s favorite “pet pawty.” The parade will take place in downtown Knoxville in the Old City and end at World’s Fair Park for the pet festival with nearly 100 vendors, food trucks, live music, games and more. The festival is open to the public. Pre-registration for the parade is $15 per pet and is available HERE.

Knox Shamrock Fest, a St. Patrick’s Day festival, features live Irish music, inflatables, face painting, balloon twisting, Irish dancing, food, Irish whiskey and beer. The Lucky Kidney Run starts at 10 a.m.

Covenant Health Knoxville Marathon
The Covenant Health Knoxville Marathon is an annual weekend-long event with a health and fitness expo and five different running events: 26.2-mile marathon, 13.1-mile half-marathon and four-person marathon relay. The Kids Run and 5K will be held Saturday, April 5, at 5:30 and 7 p.m., respectively. The race course, which shuts down roadways in the area, showcases many of Knoxville’s scenic neighborhoods. The event is free for spectators.
