Fire in the Sky” benefits Childhelp of East Tennessee, New Hope Blount County Child Advocacy Center and Kids First Child Advocacy Center. The event includes food, plus music by Donald Brown and a lofty view of the city’s fireworks display. Child care will be provided and includes arts, crafts, games, movies and dinner. The benefiting nonprofits help to heal victims of physical and sexual child abuse and offer programs for intervention and prevention.  

Club LeConte’s Annual Charity Classic helps to build brighter futures through research, education and individual assistance to those in need. Enjoy a fine art auction, pre-dinner cocktail hour and multi-course dinner paired with exceptional wines. Cocktails begin at 6:30 p.m., with dinner at 7:30 p.m. The event is a benefit for the March of Dimes and ALS.  

The 4th Annual Heartland Golden Gala benefits rescued Golden Retrievers in this area and surrounding states. The event includes a cash bar, dinner, silent and live auctions, dancing and music by the Southern Star Band.

The 15th Annual East Tennessee Writers Hall of Fame is a benefit for Friends of Literacy and features dinner, as well as time to meet the authors and have them sign their work. Tickets will be available online and by phone starting August 16.
