2015 Go Red for Women
The purpose of Go Red for Women is to bring a voice to heart disease, a silent killer of women, to help save lives and encourage everyone to talk to doctors and spread the word to friends and the community about taking action. PetSafe Black Tie & Tails Gala
PetSafe will hold its 4th Annual Black Tie & Tails Gala in the national company’s hometown of Knoxville for humans and their canine friends. 31st Annual Goodwill Vintage Fashion Show & Sale
The annual event features fashion, dinner and drinks and a sale that includes exclusive vintage merchandise, as well as top name brands. The Vintage Boutique pre-sale begins at 5 p.m. ($5 at door for early access to store). Doors open for Vintage Fashion Show at 6 p.m., followed by full-course dinner at 6:15 p.m. and the 7 p.m. fashion show.

Knox County Democratic Party Truman Day Dinner
The Knox County Democratic Party will hold its annual Truman Day Dinner, which will feature former U.S. Sen. Doug Jones, a Democrat from Alabama as the special guest and keynote speaker. Jones also is a former U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Alabama who successfully prosecuted two Ku Klux Klan members in 2001 and 2002 for the 1963 Birmingham church bombing that killed four African-American girls.
