The Knoxville Zoo's Feast with the Beasts is an informal evening of fun, food and music. More than 35 restaurants will be represented on site, and there will be plenty of "watering holes" offering beverages from the area's wineries, breweries and distributors. The Great Smoky Mountains Salamander Ball
The Great Smoky Mountains Salamander Ball is a masquerade ball and fundraising event based on the children’s book of the same name by Lisa Horstman. Attendees are encouraged to dress in costumes emulating Smoky Mountain wildlife. The event at the Knoxville Zoo features dancing by The Vibraslaps, refreshments from Holly's Eventful Dining, silent auction, “salamander” look-alike contest, children’s activities, a visit from “Big Red” the salamander and a live “salamander zoo.” Tickets are $75 per person; children under 12 admitted free.

Art Gone Wild at Knoxville Zoo
Art Gone Wild features works of art available for purchase that were created by the Knoxville Zoo's "artists in residence." Some zoo animals are trained to paint in the traditional sense, using brushes and/or fingers, including chimpanzees, gorillas and elephants. Others paint by walking over or stamping the canvas. The paw painters include lions, tigers, meerkats, bears, Komodo dragons and penguins. Patrons will enjoy wine, beer and hors d'oeuvres. This is an adults-only event, 18 years and older, with ID required.
