The intent of EventCheck Knox is to help planners select dates in advance and avoid overlap.
EventCheck Knox includes events that:
- Serve as fundraisers, primarily for nonprofits, such as galas, luncheons, awards banquets and dinners
- Draw key target audiences, including major donors, elected officials and community and business leaders
Other listings that affect planners are included because they:
- Create logistical issues, such as Tennessee football games
- Are important holidays that affect attendance

Due to its tailored purpose, EventCheck does NOT list:
Professional/civic club meetings; events specific to churches, schools and neighborhood associations; yard/estate sales; open mic nights/club concerts; food/clothing drives; animal adoption fairs; majority of public festivals/parades; sporting events, including golf tournaments, races and walks; and seminars and training programs.
